WHAT IS SOUND THERAPY?
It is an ancient complementary treatment; some people think that those who take part in sound healing therapy are lunatics who seek magical solutions to medical problems. However, music therapy and sound healing, has a basis in both neurology and psychology. The BAST method has been developed through 20 years of research and it is a unique method that combines playing carefully chosen sound vibrations tailored to the individual needs of the client, with a reflective tool.
Pure science: Sound energy? Sound is the movement of energy through a substance – like air or water – and is caused by vibrations. Solids, liquids and gases transmit sound as waves. It travels through the cells of your body and massages it from inside.
BRAIN FREQUENCY
Human brain is wired to respond to sound and rhythm because, just like sound, it operates in different frequencies. The brain is the centre of the nervous system, therefore carefully chosen and sensitively played sound vibrations can relax, harmonise and energise us. Sound Therapy can have a profound and lasting positive effect. Professionally trained and qualified therapist will create a safe relaxing space using carefully tailored sound frequencies. Your body regenerates faster and more efficiently when it is immersed in therapeutic sound for a certain length of time. It calms and regenerates the nervous system.

WHAT HAS LED ME TO STUDY SOUND THERAPY?
My Story
Since 1992 I have been studying and exploring many alternative therapies like homeopathy, acupuncture, herbal suplementation and strongly believe that natural complementary therapies are very beneficial for us. Prevention is better than cure! While working for the world renown Royal Marsden NHS Hospital for over 7 years I have learned that music and art therapy was being offered to cancer patients as complementary treatment. The therapy helped them express their emotions better and develop stronger mental coping mechanisms.
I have studied for The Practitioner Diploma in Sound Therapy at The British Academy of Sound Therapy and established my practice in 2017. Since then I have been approached to work for BAST and have had amazing positive results in clients presenting, physical, emotional and mental issues.
It is my dream and passion to help make sound therapy a widely accepted and valued form of complementary therapy.
